British tycoon Bernie Ecclestone (pictured), boss of Formula One, denied rumors of a possible acquisition of the rights of the premier class of car by a consortium led by News Corporation, owned by billionaire Rupert Murdoch communications ..



had been informed that the giant media News Corp held talks with Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim , currently sponsors the Sauber team, and that this project could add nothing less than the Scuderia Ferrari. But Ecclestone, CEO of the venture capital firm CVC, denied that this was so.



"Formula One is not for sale! And even fewer would be sold to a media company, as this would limit the ability to negotiate with other broadcasters," Ecclestone told 'The Times. In addition, the manager said he did not have maintained any contact with Slim and Ferrari in this regard.
